Way of life for this creative soul.

I've always been out of place all of my life. I feel like a time traveler from the future sometimes.

I am a self-taught graphic designer living in the midwest. I had created art in various forms throughout my life. Those memories are long ago and belong buried in the past. It was not until I had gotten a new Mac computer in 2001 that I started to toy around with graphic design and gif animation. Photoshop has become my surreal world. I don't have a particular favorite material yet. I do love dealing with leaves, although they are currently in digital format. My favorite colors are purple and blue.

We live in an age where art could be almost anything. Art is defined by how it makes an imprint on your life. I feel ecstatic when I feel I have created something to my liking. My artwork tends to reflect my interests at the moment. There are no predefined concepts or themes underlying in my work. When people view my work, I like for them to walk away with thoughts swirling in their mind instead of openly saying opinions and critiques. Art is not something that should be judged only once and forgotten. Art is almost like a time traveler. Not belonging in a set place.

The future belongs to the "outsiders". There is no art more exciting than that which is new, different and eschews the system. Art that pushes the outside of the envelope. Not only creating outside the box, but throwing that box in the trash can.

I am currently going back to my beading roots. Another story for another time. What you do in life echos for eternity. The future is today.
